Found nesting on the sides of streams or tucked behind waterfalls in mossy retreats. Dippers can plough through swift currents and walk along river bottoms swimming with their wings, foraging for fish eggs and aquatic larvae. Usually seen bobbing up and down on rocks alongside fast flowing
currents.
